The Retreat Hotel & Convention Centre Mumbai, Mumbai

I had mixed feelings about my stay. The hotel ambiance is nice, with a lovely pool and spacious rooms, but the terrible fish smell really detracted from the experience. While the staff was polite, the overall service was quite slow, and I encountered several issues with dining and additional charges. Overall, it did not feel like a good value for the price paid.

I recently stayed at this hotel as part of a family wedding group, and while the exterior of the complex is visually appealing, I found many shortcomings upon closer inspection. The service was hit-or-miss, with friendly staff who often seemed disorganized. The food was decent, but the aging facilities left much to be desired. It's right on the beach, which is great, but it could use significant renovations to truly shine.

The hotel had a few highlights, like a nice swimming pool and welcoming staff, but overall it fell short of the 5-star standard it claims. The cleanliness and upkeep definitely need improvement. The dining experience was underwhelming, with food that didn't match what I expected at this level, and the beach outside was in poor condition. While I appreciated some aspects, I wouldn't rate it highly overall.

I had a wonderful stay at this resort, which is beautifully spread out with great amenities. The rooms are spacious and clean, with a lovely view of the pool and beach. The staff, especially Mr. Rakesh, were polite and welcoming. However, the breakfast options could use some improvement, and the pool water was quite cold during my visit. Overall, it’s a fantastic getaway for families, but be prepared for limited dining choices.
